K2 LEARNED ABOUT THE CONCEPT OF MONEY

The K2 children enjoyed an engaging topic in Numeracy, where they learned all about money. They discovered the different currencies used in Singapore and Indonesia. They learned that Singapore uses Singaporean Dollars while Indonesia uses Indonesian Rupiahs.

They had fun using real money to identify the bills and the coins used by both countries. They shared their experiences of how they pay for their snacks at the grocery stores and checking their change. Some also shared that they have a safety deposit box or bank account to keep their money in a safe place. Lastly, they realized that they need to spend their money wisely and to always think “Is it a need?” or “Is it a want?”
