DENGUE FEVER

There has been a recent uptick in the number of dengue cases in the surrounding areas.  Please take great care with you and your family.

How to identify dengue fever?

  1. A high temperature and fever that lasts from a couple of days up to a week.
  2. Headache or pain behind the eyes.
  3. Muscle aches and pains.
  4. A red rash that usually starts on the back, chest or tummy and spreads through to your arms, legs and face.
  5. Nausea and vomiting.

If your child has dengue fever, please let them stay home to rest, even during the exam period. Your child can take a make-up exam on their return with receipt of a medical certificate. The school is being particularly vigilant at this time, and conducting additional fogging and taking great care to eliminate any standing water.  We thank you for your kind understanding.
