SAFETY AND SECURITY FOR NEXT ACADEMIC YEAR
As always, safety and security for our students is our highest priority. We would like to share with you our plans and procedures for reopening the school in July. We will create a transitional opening process that is slow, prudent and cautious. We will do all we can to keep all our SIS-PIK families safe.
On July 19th 2021, we will open our hybrid program. This will include both face-to-face learning as well as our well established virtual learning program. Parents may choose to continue with the virtual learning program if it makes them feel more comfortable.
To meet this goal we commit to:
0 transmission by teachers and staff
- Full vaccinations (2 injections) for all on-campus teaching and non teaching staff.
- Each morning, all teachers and staff will go through the disinfection chamber and temperature check.
- As teachers and staff enter school they must either:
- Wash hands with soap or
- Use hand sanitiser
- All teachers and staff must wear a mask
- All teachers and staff must social distance
- No handshaking
0 transmission from facilities
- Ventilation will be improved to enable airflow in and out of the classrooms.
- Classrooms, corridors, desks/chairs, light switches etc will be disinfected twice a day at a standard above the national and international health and safety regulations.
- Each week the school will be sanitised with UV lights

- The bathrooms will be disinfected many times each day.
Reduced risk of transmission between students
