A MESSAGE FROM MS JEN
We are very pleased to announce new Primary Library and Preschool area are almost completed! We look forward to inviting you to our Grand Opening after our Chinese New Year celebrations.
Our new Preschool is very special. To design our new learning spaces, we adopted the ideas from Prakash Nair and his books “Learning By Design” and “Blueprint for Tomorrow.” Nair says that the physical environments in which our children learn should reflect our most powerful aspirations and our most promising ideas about learning. Our new Preschool is designed to expand rather than contain learning. Students can see beyond their classroom walls, to expand their thoughts and ideas. The rooms are bright to encourage curiosity and inquiry, and low level windows to give access to imagination. Our Preschool, fully equipped with a white picket fence and trees will engage our young children in the adventure of learning.
Our Primary library is very innovative, and designed to create a sense of adventure. You will notice that this a library designed with no straight lines, or corners. Why? The library reflects the natural world, the curve of trees, and the playful nature of a playground. When you visit, see if you can identify the swings! The library encourages imagination, curiosity; a sense of calm and relaxation, a quiet place of contemplation inquiry and learning.
We are very excited about our new learning spaces, and our designs for learning. As always we endeavour to improve. We thank you for your support through our journey to Greater Heights.
