CHANGES TO THE DAILY EMAIL IN SECONDARY & JC

In Secondary and JC, we will be changing the current Daily Email procedure to give you better information on students’ homework and deadlines, and to reduce the amount of unnecessary communication you receive from us. 

At present homeroom teachers email you at the end of each day with a summary of the learning in each class. From next week, teachers will be using the PowerSchool Parent Portal App. Every homework and assignment that is set will be sent to you through a notification on the App. Communication will focus on homework and assessments, giving you the details of what students must do and when the work is due.  

To manage the transition homeroom teachers will continue to send this information in the form of a daily email alongside the app notification until the end of the month. From 3rd February, all notifications will come through the app. 

To give you more information on this, and to give guidance and support on how to get the most out of the PowerSchool Parent Portal App, we warmly invite you to a Coffee Morning Information Session on Tuesday 28th January at 8:00 am in the Auditorium. A member of the IT department will be present to answer any of your queries, and to demonstrate all the fantastic information the app can give you about your child’s progress.
