INTRODUCING OUR NEW STAFF
Jessica Rustia Arillo (Ms Jess) – Primary EMS Teacher

Ms Jess is a dedicated, hardworking, and organised primary school teacher who was born and grew up in the Philippines. She graduated from Philippine Normal University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She has eight years of teaching experience at private schools in the Philippines, and five years at the lower primary level in Cirebon, West Java.
As an educator, she strongly believes that the main purpose of education is to prepare and equip learners with knowledge, skills, and values that will help them become a productive and responsible citizen of society. Her teaching method is greatly influenced by the Montessori principle “the work is a reward in itself”. She gives opportunities to students to work independently and discover things on their own. These little discoveries allow the students to own what they learn, thus giving them the feeling of happiness and satisfaction.
In her free time, she likes to listen to worship songs and play the keyboard. She also likes outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. We welcome Ms Jess to the SIS-PIK family!
Ms Pamela Tan – University Guidance Counsellor and Life Skills Teacher

Caring and nurturing. Two words that best describe Ms Pam as a Life Coach and College Counselor. She was awarded her Undergraduate degree in Psychology from St. Joseph’s College in Manila, and was a consistent Dean’s Lister. She has also earned Graduate degree units in Developmental Psychology from the University of the Philippines. Ms Pam has been with the academe for the past two decades as a College Counsellor, serving in two International Schools in the Philippines prior to her stint at SIS-PIK this school year. She has attended international conferences for university and career advising both in Singapore and Australia. Over the years, she has mentored students for university applications in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Hongkong, Japan and Korea. Her spare time is spent with her family and friends, mostly trying out new food and visiting interesting places.
