END OF YEAR CLEARANCE FOR STUDENTS
At the end of every year, we collect library books and textbooks from our students. Over the June/July break, we check our textbook collection, and replace old and damaged books. We also recover the books to make sure they are clean and fresh for next academic year. This year, we will add additional procedures to disinfect the books. We want everyone to be safe.
To try and increase the safety for everyone in our SIS-PIK community, we ask the following;
- Please place your child’s textbooks and library books in a plastic bag
- Please write your child’s name and homeroom on the outside of the bag
- Primary parents, please drop off the books on the 4th June and 7th June. Secondary parents please be ready to drop off books on the Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th of June. We will send out an email shortly for you to choose a convenient time.
- Our librarians will be on hand to check the books directly. If the returned books are not in good condition, you may have to pay a replacement fee. You will be directed to a cashier booth to make payment. You will receive a written receipt to confirm the condition of the books returned, and any payments made.
- We ask only parents and drivers/nannies to drop off your child/ren’s textbooks. Please do not use a courier or online booking transportation service such as Grab or Gojek.
Sec 4 and JC2 students need to have E-books removed from their laptops. They will be given a specific time on either Wednesday 9th or Thursday 10th June. They (or their driver) will hand the laptop to IT in the Primary lobby at the given time. The laptop will be externally cleaned before being given back.
Thank you for your careful adherence to these procedures which have been carefully planned to keep everyone safe.
