A MESSAGE FROM MS JEN
This week, we reach out to our Chinese community with love and support. This may be a very difficult time for some families, and we support our SIS-PIK Community with family and friends at home in China. We are stronger when we stand together, and we are united in our care for one another. This is what makes our SIS-PIK Community so special.
Thank you also to our parents who have reached out with care and advice. Your suggestions have made our community stronger and safer, and we appreciate your commitment to our school.
What are we doing to keep our community safe
- Each morning, our teachers use a digital thermometer to check every child for fever or high temperatures. Please understand that if your child has a temperature above 37.5 degrees C, we will send them home.
- We have added hand sanitiser and antiseptic gels to each floor.
- We have also instituted an additional cleaning regime for door handles and other high traffic areas.
- We have canceled events where very large groups of children gather such our whole school assembly each Monday.
- Our school nurse is available to check children throughout the day.
Please keep your children at home if they;
- Have a fever
- Have problems breathing
- Have a cough, or runny nose
- Have been to China in the last 7 days.
If your child has been to China please keep them home for 14 days from the time of their arrival in Indonesia.
The best defense against the coronavirus is a healthy immune system. If your child is sick, please keep them home so they can rest and get better. Your child will recover faster at home, and have a stronger immune system for the coming weeks and months.
Thank you to everyone in our SIS-PIK Community. We are stronger when we are united. Thank you!
