K2 EXTENDED TIME IN SEMESTER 2
The Kindergarten 2 (K2) children are now entering the final phase of their Preschool education. It is time to prepare them to be able to adjust the Primary hours. Not only will the children get used to spending a longer day at school, but they will also adapt emotionally to being regarded as ‘older’ and more responsible.
The intention is not to burden them with more academic work, but to broaden their experiences like having lunch in the school canteen.
To ensure a smooth transition to the longer days, we are extending the K2 school hours effectively from Monday, 6th January 2020. The children will be dismissed at 1:00 pm everyday instead of 12 noon. For those who join CCA in the week, their school day will end at 2:15 pm.
The new schedule is as follows:
| School hours | : | 7:45 am – 1:00 pm (on CCA days, school finishes at 2:15 pm) |
| Morning snack time | : | 9:00 am – 9:30 am |
| Lunch Break | : | 11:00 am – 11:30 am |
