OUR MUSICAL:
THE MILLENNIAL JACK TARUB debuting on April 7th

This academic year Singapore School, Pantai Indah Kapuk proudly presents its highly anticipated musical – The Millennial Jack Tarub. This musical is our modern take on  folklore from Indonesia, Jaka Tarub. In our Musical, Jack Tarub is a young man who plays on his true intention to marry Nawang Wulan, a beautiful goddess from the heaven. Audience members will witness the characters explore feelings of love, honesty, loyalty, and commitment. From Jack Tarub’s character, our audience will see that intent may not necessarily bring success and there is no success without honest intent.

What makes this musical so special is the entire SIS-PIK community will come together. Parents, teachers, budding toddlers in preschool, and young adults in junior college will be acting, dancing, playing in the orchestra, belting out tunes in the choir, and working behind the scenes.  Our community hopes to inspire audience members to develop an appreciation for traditional Indonesian folklore and raise awareness for our charity work. All net proceeds from the musical will go to our Yayasan SISwa Peduli Bangsa.

Beginning next week, teachers will be requesting your kind consideration to permit your child to be a part of this exciting experience. We highly encourage you to allow your children to participate both in the practices and in the performance as this will be an incredible experience for them. Finally, please support us by attending this special event as the proceeds of this magnificent musical will go to charity.
