A FOCUS ON SIS NEW WAYS OF LEARNING AND TEACHING
Please read below to see what to expect over the next few weeks
PRESCHOOL and LOWER PRIMARY (P1 – P3):
- Please have your children ready between 7:45 – 8:00 am for homeroom time.
- Students must be on Seesaw during homeroom time and answer “I’m here” when teachers take attendance (between 7:45 – 08:00 am).
- Assignments will be uploaded by teachers between 8:00 – 9:00 am so you can have time to contact the teachers if you have questions.
- If teachers will schedule a Zoom meeting, they will email parents ahead of time early in the morning.
- Please aim to submit all assignments by 4:00 pm everyday. However, we understand that some families struggle with the internet, so students can submit by the end of the week (latest by Saturday).
Preschool homeroom teachers will send weekly email every Friday. Primary homeroom teachers will send daily email by the latest 5:00 pm everyday.
UPPER PRIMARY (P4 – P6):
- Please have your children ready between 7:45 – 8:00 am for homeroom time. The teacher will use Google meet or Zoom. This is an important time for your child to connect with their friends and teacher.
- Lessons will be uploaded on google classroom in accordance with the timetable.
- If teachers schedule a zoom meeting, it will be scheduled in accordance with the timetable.
- Please aim to submit all assignments by 3:00 pm everyday. However, we understand that some families struggle with the internet, so students can submit by the end of the week (latest by Saturday).
SECONDARY and JUNIOR COLLEGE (Sec 1 – JC):
- Students will zoom with their homeroom teacher between 7:45 – 8:00 am. This is an important time for your child to connect with their friends and teacher.
- Lessons will be uploaded on Google Classroom in accordance with the timetable.
- Students may be required to attend a zoom meeting with their subject teacher. It will be scheduled in accordance with the timetable. Students will be informed in advance.
Learning will continue as if the school was open, and will culminate in SAs.
Secondary and JC homeroom teachers will continue to use the PowerSchool portal to share details of assessment and deadlines.
