UPDATE ON EXTERNAL EXAMINATIONS;
UN, CAMBRIDGE, IB, HSK, YCT
Additional information for P6
We are sad to inform you that both the UN exams and the Checkpoint exams have been canceled.
The checkpoint is an important diagnostic test that gives us important information to help students develop and improve. We will set our own checkpoint test; called the SIS-PIK Check from the 20th to the 22nd April.
Additional information for Sec 2
Unfortunately, Cambridge has cancelled the Checkpoint exam. However, we are committed to providing our students the very important experience of a Checkpoint exam. We will set our own checkpoint test – called the SIS-PIK Check from the 20th to the 22nd April.
Additional information for Sec 3
The UN exams have been canceled.
Additional information for Sec 4
Cambridge has canceled the IGCSE exams, however they will still issue the ICE certificate and a transcript of all subject grades to students – this will be just as valid as previous years IGCSE grades. Please see the letter from Cambridge attached. It is important our Sec 4s continue to work hard and improve. This year, the sec 4s will sit the SA2. The results of the SA will contribute to the semester 2 report for our Sec 4s.
Additional information for the JC2
The UN exams have been canceled. We currently have no further information regarding the UN, but we will update you as soon as we hear more.
The IB have also canceled their exams. The IB will issue an IB Diploma or IB Certificates based on satisfactory academic performance. Teachers are required to submit a predicted grade, and the Internal Assessment (IA) to the IB. The IA grade will be very important to determine the IB grade for students. Over the next month, students will need to focus on their IA. Again, we want to send the best IA to the IB as possible. The JC2 will also submit a culminating assessment task.
YCT and HSK Exams
The Youth Chinese Test (YCT) dan Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) exams have been postponed until further notice.
Thank you to our parents for your support. Although many external examinations have been canceled, SIS-PIK will do our best to ensure the education of your child continues. To Greater Heights!
