SIS-PIK COMMUNITY UPDATES
2021 - 2022

No.6 – 15 October 2021

NEWS FROM SECONDARY & JC
STUDENT COUNCIL (STUCO) 2021-2022

Student leadership is a very important aspect of our community at SIS-PIK. Developing student leadership skills helps to build students’ character, grow our community and prepare them for life beyond SIS-PIK. Throughout Secondary and Junior College, students experience a wide range of leadership experiences which equip them with skills such as collaboration, decision making, planning and ultimately being outstanding role models for others.

Leadership takes place at many levels in our school. All students take part in classroom-based collaborative activities, learning journey projects and most engage with our CAS programme at JC. Others are specifically elected or appointed as prefects or to our Student Council.

Last week, our team of prefects took the initiative to lead a variety of activities for Teachers’ Day, for which our teachers were extremely grateful. We were also delighted to appoint new members to our Student Council for the next academic year.

We are pleased to introduce the new members of our Student Council. These students will have the ability to contribute to real positive change in our school as they not only work closely to support our students and listen to their views, but also work closely with teachers as part of our Teacher Professional Development programme.

It gives us great pleasure to introduce our new Student Council, or as we call them, ‘STUCO’.
