SIS-PIK COMMUNITY UPDATES
2021 - 2022

No.11 – 14 January 2022

DR DAN’S DIARY

Dear SIS-PIK Families,

Happy New Year to you all, and I hope you all had a happy, healthy and joyous term break. As we continue a cautious approach to the pandemic, we have begun this term with two weeks of virtual learning. From Monday, students will be welcome in school every day for face-to-face learning with their teachers in the classroom. The sign-up form for this is now closed, so please contact your child’s DHT if you now decide you wish your child to join and haven’t already completed the online registration. Our virtual learning programme continues this term for those who wish. We have continued to invest in improving this programme, including the purchase of visualiser cameras for all teachers. These bring more of a ‘classroom’ feel to learning from home.

As we follow our roadmap to careful reopening, we have increased our health and safety protocols and expanded our vaccination programme. I look forward to seeing many families come to school on Sunday as we act as a vaccination centre. More information on this is contained in this issue of the Community Updates. I also enjoyed meeting many parents at our online information meeting on Wednesday, where we explained the procedures that will keep our community safe when we reopen our school.

Finally, we will soon see more new year celebrations as one of the highlights of the SIS-PIK calendar, Chinese New Year approaches. Further details of how we will mark this occasion are given in this newsletter.

Very best wishes,

Dr Dan
