Fingerprint Name Art Activity: Art & Science

K2 children enjoy great fun and numerous learning opportunities with Fingerprint activity! It is also a great way to review patterns and opportunities in learning how colours work, especially mixing primary colours to get secondary colours like purple, orange and pink. Art activities for young children have been proved in studies to be beneficial to brain development! One of these is sensory play, like finger painting, where children learn through their senses. Messy play like finger painting is important to every child’s development since it helps the body and brain integrate information, such as that needed for later spatial concepts, math and language.  Finger painting is also a most relaxing and creative way to express feelings. Awesome job, K2 children!
