UNIFORM
It is wonderful to see all our students in school uniform; batik shirt, black shoes, school socks every day. Girls are reminded to tie their hair back, and remove any hair colour or lash extensions. Boys must have short hair without hair gel. A gentle reminder that we have no mobile phones at school.
Please ensure that your child comes to school in black shoes. Please use dye, or black marker to cover any markings on shoes. Lastly, please remember to limit jewellery. We have found gold chains lost in the field, and even in the bottom of the swimming pool! Jewellery is best kept safe at home.
Permitted jewellery includes:
- a simple stud earrings
- a ‘non-beeping’ watch
We are very proud of our school uniform at SIS-PIK, it creates a feeling of belonging as everyone can be on the same team. Uniforms are worn for immediate identification and to inspire a feeling of “oneness.” As students put on their school uniform, they suddenly belong. A sense of loyalty emerges from inside, as does an extra effort to perform at the student’s best. Our school, and our uniform should inspire our students to excel in learning and be community spirited.
