PRIMARY LEARNING JOURNEY
Students’ enjoyment is always increased when fun and learning combine in one place. One of the main focuses of attention for the SIS-PIK Primary Department each year is the Learning Journey.
We recognise that students are multi-sensory learners, and learning journeys allow them to touch, feel and listen to what they’re learning about, which helps them build on classroom instruction, gain a better understanding of topics, build cultural understanding and tolerance, and expose them to worlds outside their own.
On 6 December 2022, our Primary 1 and 2 students visited the PT Tristar International Toys Factory and learnt about the steps of toy making. They were exhilarated as they had the chance to play in the factory’s toy room, buy and bring home their own favourite huggables.
On the same day, our Primary 3 to 6 students went to Scientia Square Park. They got involved in different survival skill activities such as escaping from knots, tying a hammock knot, wall climbing, creating their own sailboat and practising fishing skills.
