TEACHER IN FOCUS

Each week, we would like to introduce you to one of our teachers, so you can learn more about our wonderful academic team.

I am pleased to introduce myself. My name is R. Uma Maheswari. I have a Masters Degree in English from Madras University Chennai, India. I have been part of the SIS family since the year 2005. I am very passionate towards children and love being a part of their budding life. At present I am in my fifteenth year of teaching in Indonesia, and I am the form teacher of P2C-Unity teaching English, Science and Maths. I also teach P3 English and I have also taught various subjects such as Social Studies, Values, Health Education and Art & Craft in the P1, P2 & P3 levels. I have been the lower primary coordinator for the past 12 years. I organize field trips, various events in the school like the mini bazaar, the show and tell and others. I believe in preparing students mentally and skillfully for a well-rounded education, instilling good discipline, and teaching respect for parents, teachers and all elders. I have taught yoga for parents for the past two years and I am teaching beginners English this fourth term for parents.I am very happy to be part of the SIS family.
