JOHN LOCKE ESSAY COMPETITION

During his final year at SIS-PIK, our Valedictorian Glenn Matthew entered the international John Locke Institute 2023 Global Essay Competition. This competition is highly prestigious, and it was with huge pride that we learnt Glenn had been selected – from 20,000 entries – to go to the finals of the competition and attend the awards ceremony at Oxford University in the UK. 

At the end of September, Glenn flew to England and described his experience attending a series of workshops, lectures and the awards ceremony as beyond his ‘wildest expectations’. He describes attending the awards ceremony at the historic Sheldonian Theatre as ‘an unforgettable moment. Being present amidst the grandeur of the venue and sharing the stage with exceptional scholars was a surreal experience.’ 

Glenn was finally awarded a High Distinction in the Politics Category. We are so proud of his achievements.
