DR DAN’S DIARY

Dear SIS-PIK Families,
As always when we get to the end of another month, I find myself reflecting on the amazing experiences we’ve shared together as a school community. This past month has been filled with moments that have reaffirmed why I am so proud to be a part of this school and our special community.
One of the highlights of February, and indeed the year, was undoubtedly the vibrant celebrations we had for Chinese New Year. It was truly heartwarming to see so many families, alumni, and students come together to mark this important occasion. The energy and excitement were palpable as we enjoyed traditional performances by our talented children and witnessed the rich cultural heritage being embraced and celebrated by all.
On that same day, we also had the pleasure of hosting our annual Family Day Bazaar. It was incredible to see our students showcasing their entrepreneurial spirit as they set up stalls and shared their creative talents with the community. From homemade crafts to delicious baked goods, the bazaar was a testament to the passion and creativity of our students, and I was immensely proud to see them shine.
Another standout event from this month was the week-long Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths (STEAM) projects undertaken by our Preschool and Primary students. As I walked the corridors, looked into classrooms, it was truly inspiring to see our young minds come together to explore sustainable solutions to some of the world’s most pressing problems. From designing eco-friendly inventions to brainstorming innovative ways to protect our planet, the creativity and ingenuity displayed by our students were nothing short of impressive.
The incredible talent, dedication, and passion that exists within our school community is displayed in all the articles presented to you this month. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I have enjoyed seeing the great work our students have achieved.
Very best wishes,
Dr Dan
