DR DAN’S DIARY

Dear SIS-PIK Families,
What a vibrant and busy September we’ve had at SIS-PIK! I’d like to share a few personal highlights from this past month that truly showcased the spirit of our school.
First, the Mid-Autumn Festival was a joyous occasion, with our school houses selling delicious food and students of all ages singing and dancing. I even tested my language skills by learning a few lines of a Chinese song—though I must apologise for my pronunciation! It was a wonderful celebration of culture and community.
We also completed the Student Council (STUCO) interviews this week, where we saw an incredible display of talent, commitment, and leadership potential. We’re excited to invest in the future leaders of SIS-PIK, with the official investiture taking place on 14th October.
On 13th September, our dedicated teachers came together for a Professional Development Day, ensuring their training remains current and evidence-based. We’re proud that our staff ranks among the best in the country, and we look forward to welcoming teachers from across Indonesia for our annual Education Day later this year.
So much has happened since our last update, and you can read about all our activities here!
Best wishes,
Dr Dan
