STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS 

John Locke Institute Essay Competition 2024
Congratulations to Jonathan Edward Yang from Grade 8A who was a shortlisted finalist in the Junior Category of the John Locke Institute 2024 Global Essay Prize. This prize is an international message competition with thousands of entries from around the world. 

As the finalist for the Global Essay Prize, Jonathan was invited to the Awards Ceremony and Gala dinner, and Academic Lectures by Oxford and Cambridge professors in London. Jonathan was delighted to fly to the UK to receive his ‘Merit’ award in September. We are so proud of Jonathan for excelling in this highly prestigious essay writing competition.

Piano Competition 2024 
Congratulations to Bruce Ryder Liono from Grade 4C upon winning first place in the Yamaha Piano Competition & Popular Music Course 2024 and Indonesia Piano Competition 2024! We are very proud of his achievement and look forward to seeing him continue to reach new heights.

Singapore Performing Arts Festival (SPAF) 2024
We are very excited to announce that our Junior High student, Victoria Severine Liono (G7A) has achieved the Gold Star Award during the Singapore Performing Arts Festivals 2024, in the category of Classical Piano – Grade 3. Congratulations to our very talented young artist, Victoria!

UTS International Student Award
We received excellent news recently that our previous STUCO president, and SIS-PIK alumnus (class of 2024) Hubert Japarif, was one of 1/15 students (undergraduate and postgraduate) to receive an International Student award at the University of Technology Sydney. Awardees came from 10 countries, and Hubert was the only Indonesian and IB graduate to receive this award. This award not only recognised his academic achievements but also his non-academic successed. We are so pleased that Hubert continues Towards Greater Heights having been launched from the SIS Peak.

Singapore Math Challenge (SMC) 2024
A huge congratulations to these students that have successfully completed the Singapore Math Challenge (SMC) 2024 and have achieved amazing results! We are so proud of your achievements and your passion toward Mathematics! Once again, congratulations and keep on reaching the greater heights!
