SIS-PIK COMMUNITY SHOWCASE
 January 2025

PRIMARY PREFECT LEADERSHIP TRAINING CAMP

“Leaders aren’t born; they are made. And they are made just like anything else, through hard work. And that’s the price we’ll have to pay to achieve that goal, or any goal.”Vince Lombardi

Last Saturday, 18th January 2025, 35 enthusiastic primary prefects gathered at school for a leadership training workshop organised by the Pupil Development Committee. The workshop aimed to hone their leadership skills and prepare them to grow into capable young leaders.

The event began with an inspiring speech from Ms Jun, the Head of Preschool and Primary, who encouraged the prefects to embrace the opportunity to learn and to make a difference, especially within the SIS-PIK community.

Throughout the day, the newly sworn primary prefects engaged in various activities designed to put their leadership skills into action. As individuals entrusted with responsibility and influence, they were reminded of the importance of integrity, empathy, teamwork, and a commitment to serving others.

The workshop was both memorable and fun-filled, fostering camaraderie and trust among the prefects. It reinforced the idea that being a prefect is more than holding a title; it is an opportunity to inspire, lead by example, and develop essential life skills.

By embodying key qualities such as responsibility, adaptability, and effective communication, these young leaders are setting a strong foundation for their journey toward becoming compassionate and capable future leaders.
