SIS-PIK COMMUNITY SHOWCASE
 January 2025

COMING UP

February sees one of the biggest and most important events in our year – our celebration of Chinese New Year, alongside our Family Day Bazaar. Come join us on Saturday 8th February from 8.30am until 12pm. There will be performances from all year groups, Chinese dumplings to eat and, of course, the traditional Lion Dance. This will be followed by our family bazaar on the school field, with further performances and many stalls selling food, drinks and games to play. All proceeds go to our school charity, YSPB.

Our Grade 10 and 12 students sit their preliminary examinations through the second half of the month, from 17th to 28th February. We wish them luck, but remind all students that these examinations are a very important tool to improve. They should reflect on what they understand well, and what they can improve upon. This will ensure the best chance of success in the real exams in May.

Experiential learning is the key to boosting student engagement and gaining a deeper understanding of topics. One way we do this is through exciting learning journey experiences. Between 17th and 21st February all our Preschool and Primary students will take part in a special day of activities. You’ll be able to read all about these – and see the pictures! – in next month’s edition.
