DR DAN’S DIARY

Dear SIS-PIK Families,
March has been a fantastic month at SIS-PIK, full of creativity, innovation, and student achievement.
A highlight was our Lower Primary musical, Dinostars, where Grades 1 to 3 dazzled us with their confidence and stage presence. It was heartwarming to see so many students take on speaking roles, remember complex choreography, and sing beautifully. The talent on display assures us that we have many future stars in the making!
STEAM has also been a major focus this term, with Primary and Junior High students tackling real-world challenges through the lens of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Their prototype solutions, showcased in a special exhibition, demonstrated not only creativity and ingenuity but also a strong sense of global responsibility. Our BTEC Grade 12 students also impressed us with their outstanding artwork, adding an extra dimension of artistic excellence to the event.
One particularly eventful moment for me personally was heading to the 20th Education and Development Conference in Bangkok, Thailand. Here, I was invited to talk about the way we achieve our school vision to ensure that every child reaches their full potential. I spoke about how our Grade 11 & 12 BTEC Enterprise and Entrepreneurship students have taken on running a real-life business, The Think Tank Cafe, and the attendees there were impressed and inspired about the vocational talents our students show and how this leads to success in the future.
This month has been filled with student successes, and I encourage you to read more about their achievements below.
Wishing all our families a restful term break and, to those celebrating, a joyous Idul Fitri.
Kind regards,
Dr Dan
