MOTHER’S DAY TEA

“A mother is one who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take.” —Cardinal Mermillod

With this profound truth in mind, the SIS-PIK community came together on Thursday, 8th May 2025, to honour the irreplaceable love and strength of mothers during the Mother’s Day Tea Celebration held in the MPH.

The event began at 2:30 PM with inspiring opening remarks from Dr Dan and Ms Jun, setting the tone for an afternoon filled with gratitude, joy, and connection.

The celebration unfolded beautifully with a heartfelt poetry reading by Kimberly, Cherish, and Evelyn, followed by an adorable performance by our Preschool K1 and K2 students that warmed every heart in the room.

Guests were then treated to a lively Primary CCA dance, and a touching vocal duet by Jaslyn and Leticia. High school students brought energy and flair with a K-pop dance performance and a soulful guitar performance, culminating in a harmonious choral performance by the Primary Prefects.

One of the most special moments was the mother-child bonding activity, where families crafted and painted clay creations together—each one as unique and meaningful as the bond they share.

As the performances continued, Primary Prefects lovingly served tea and refreshments to the tables, making the mothers feel cherished and cared for. Laughter, music, and the quiet joy of creativity filled the room.

To close the celebration, the prefects assisted mothers in safely packing their handcrafted clay keepsakes into paper bags to take home—a small but heartfelt reminder of a truly unforgettable afternoon.

This celebration reminded us that while no one can take a mother’s place, we can always take a moment to honour, celebrate, and thank them for the countless ways they make our lives more beautiful.
