This quotation is my guiding light as I enter the classroom everyday. I always think about the kids who are finding the lessons quite challenging. I plan different activities and use different strategies so kids can understand the lessons better. I love seeing kids applying skills that I have taught. It is an achievement for me.

Hi, I am Benilda Olaer-Haider. I have been at SIS-PIK since 2004 and I was inducted into the Singapore Educational System and Curriculum in 2004. I received Marker Accreditation in Maths for the Cambridge International Primary Programme Achievement Tests in 2010. I spearheaded the Maths Department in 2010 and I have been the Upper Primary Coordinator since 2006. I have been teaching English, Maths, Health Education and Arts  and Crafts in Primary. I am currently the Form Teacher of Primary 5A. My passion in the Arts is being shared with my students through the Art CCA.

Being in SIS-PIK for more than a decade is really a wonderful and rewarding experience. I have been given opportunities to hone my skills, improve my teaching strategies through various trainings and gain more friends.
