CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES / CCA
At SIS-PIK, we are committed to provide the very best for every child in our care. An excellent academic program is of course our first priority, Checkpoint, UN and IGCSE are all incredibly important exams and we are very proud of our academic record here at SIS-PIK. However, it is our intent to improve each year. Our dream is to give access for our students to the best Universities in the world. Students need more than strong grades to be accepted to Harvard, Stanford or Princeton. Students need to show that apart from grades – they are much more. Students must demonstrate character, tenacity, leadership and a proven record to contribute to society. The best students are able to set themselves apart from the others.
The best way for us to help students develop all those attributes is through a compulsory CCA program.
This year, we have worked hard to find new and exciting vendors, such as Digital Drawing and Music Production. We want to improve the breadth of choice and the quality of our CCAs. This year, all CCAs will be paid. Extra funding for our internal CCAs means we can purchase the equipment/ materials to bridge the gap in quality between our internal CCAs and external CCAs.
In the morning of Monday 22ndof July, you will be sent through email a sign up portal for CCAs. Children who attend the trial are given preference to register for the CCA, and will have access to the portal a day earlier.
How to use the CCA portal
- Read the descriptions of the activities carefully to choose CCAs your child will enjoy.
- Preschool students are welcome to signup for CCAs.
- P1 students must choose 1 CCA, either sports or non sports.
- P2 to Sec 4 students must choose 2 CCAs one sport and one non-sport. Please note, an allowance for P6 and Sec 4 will be made during the examination preparation period.
- Our JC students are welcome to signup for CCAs as part of their CAS program.
- Once you choose your CCAs, you are registered for a place in your chosen CCA. However to confirm your registration, you must make payment. Your place is held for 24 hours, enough time for you to make payment. If, after 24 hours, no payment is made, your registration will expire, and your place will be lost. You must register again.
- Payment can be completed through our virtual account system.
Our portal will open from Monday 22nd of July until Friday 26th July. Our CCA program will begin on August 5th. Thank you for your support for our CCAs.
