PERFORMING AND CREATIVE ARTS AT SIS-PIK
We’re excited to unveil exciting developments in the Performing and Creative Arts at SIS-PIK. These subjects are crucial not only for fostering creative and critical thinking, but also for offering a diverse educational experience. Our commitment to providing a broad curriculum allowing every child to reach their full potential, whatever their individual strengths, is reflected in the expansion of arts education across all levels of our school.
New Horizons: IGCSE Music and BTEC International Art and Design
Alongside creative subjects across the whole school, including Music, Drama, Dance, Art and Creative Media, this year we’re introducing IGCSE Music for Grade 9 students and BTEC International Art and Design for Grade 11. These additions offer diverse pathways for students to explore their interests and talents.
Guiding with Expertise: Welcoming Ms Deborah Gan
Leading our team of Performing and Creative Arts staff is our esteemed Director of Performing and Creative Arts, Ms Deborah Gan. With a Bachelor of Music from the University of Westminster and a wealth of experience from Baishan International School in China, Ms Gan brings a global perspective to our arts education. Her extensive career in international Performing Arts education, including prestigious institutions in Malaysia and Tunisia, infuses our department with added energy and innovation. We already have a number of productions scheduled across the year to entertain our community and to allow our children to be stars!
As we embrace these changes in our arts department, we continue our commitment to holistic growth. The arts empower students to think critically and communicate uniquely. Join us on this creative journey at SIS-PIK.
