SIS-PIK COMMUNITY SHOWCASE
 August 2024

NEW TEACHERS INTRODUCTION

We are delighted to welcome a team of wonderful new teachers to the SIS-PIK family. We’re sure you will have been in contact with some of them already, and we wish them all a happy and productive experience at SIS-PIK.

In Preschool we are joined by Ms Stella and Ms Therese, both experienced educators who thrive in lively classrooms, inspiring our youngest learners. In Primary, we welcome Ms Lafni, Ms Maria, Mr Christian (who also has considerable whole school experience and is teaching Grade 7 Mathematics) and Ms Francia, all as subject generalists teaching across English, Science and Mathematics. In the Primary Chinese team we have Mr Tommy (who returns to back to SIS-PIK after a year) and Ms Michelle and as a new post as Head of Primary Science and Mathematics we welcome Ms Louise.

In High School there are 4 new members of the English team: Mr Michael, Ms Tarita, Mr Marcelo and Ms Roschelle. Mr Marcelo and Ms Roschelle are also experienced drama teachers and will be supporting our Performing Arts faculty as we provide more opportunities both on and off the curriculum. In the Mathematics department we welcome Ms Eunice, Mr Febriansyah and Mr Wesley. Mr Valantis joins the creative arts team as a very experienced teacher of IB Film and creative media subjects. Joining the Bahasa Indonesia team are Mr Adi and Mr Fredrikson (who will also be teaching across the school). Leading the Faculty of Business, Enterprise and Humanities is Ms Yareeva, and teaching within the faculty is Ms Sunita.

Our provision of both academic psychology and pastoral support through emotional well-being guidance is growing considerably. We welcome Ms Joy, who teaches High School Life Skills and IB Diploma Psychology, Ms Cilly, our new experienced University Guidance Counsellor, and Ms Levana, who teaches life skills to Grade 7, and very importantly is our on campus Emotional Wellbeing Counsellor. Ms Levana is a qualified Educational Psychologist, very skilled in working with students to support them in every way necessary. Joining the High School science department is Ms Sinem, who will teach physics. Finally, we look forward to cheering on our sport teams this year, led by our Director of Sport, Mr Nic.

We are lucky to be joined by such experienced and dedicated educators and we wish them all the very best for their future at SIS-PIK.
