DR DAN’S DIARY

Dear SIS-PIK Families,
I am delighted to share with you the exciting events that took place at our school in February. Our students, teachers, and staff worked tirelessly to make this month a memorable one. Detailed reports and photographs fill this edition of the Community Showcase.
Firstly, I am thrilled to report the success of our Primary Musical, ‘The Princess and the River.’ With 70 students singing, acting, and dancing, the production was a resounding success and showcased the creative talent and hard work of our students.
Our Education Day was also a huge success, with around 150 teachers from 35 schools across Jakarta trained by our expert staff. We are thrilled to have shared our knowledge and expertise with fellow educators, and we look forward to future opportunities to collaborate and share ideas.
The Preschool and Primary STEAM festival was another highlight of the month. Our students put their critical thinking and problem-solving skills to the test by creating inventions aimed at making the world a better place. We were truly impressed by their creativity and innovative ideas.
Valentine’s Day was celebrated in style, with prefects selling roses to spread love and kindness throughout the school community. We were touched by the overwhelming generosity of our students and the spirit of camaraderie that was on display.
During Wellbeing Week, we promoted mindfulness and good health, which is vital to the overall wellbeing of our students. We were delighted to see our students taking an active interest in their mental and physical health.
AI Week in High School and Resilience Week were also successful events, promoting students’ perseverance and grit, and providing an opportunity for them to explore the exciting world of artificial intelligence.
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy term break holiday. We are proud of our students’ achievements and look forward to continuing to work together to provide them with the best education possible.
Dr Dan
