WELLBEING WEEK
SIS-PIK recognises that healthy students are often better learners; therefore, we support school health and wellness practices that address the physical, social, and emotional needs of our students.
During Wellbeing Week, there were a myriad of activities to promote the health and well-being of the whole child. Some of the activities undertaken included:
| Mindful Monday | Practising mindfulness by doing a whole body scan and ‘Star’ breathing. |
| Tasty Tuesday | Eating balanced meals for snacks and lunch. |
| Workout Wednesday | Completing Pokemon and an Encanto themed exercise (who says exercise is boring?) |
| Thankful Thursday | Writing thank you notes to our parents and teachers. |
| Fun Friday | Our favourite! Mass exercise with our beloved SIS-PIK family members. |
Wellbeing awareness does not stop at school. We should extend these wellness practices at home. Here are some positive habits to promote lifelong healthy behaviours:
- Prioritise family meal times.
- Include a variety of nutritious foods from all of the food groups on a regular basis.
- Drink more water.
- Find activities that you enjoy and be physically active most days of the week.
- Stay positive and be kind.
- Be well rested.
- Connect with others in creative ways.
- Reduce your screen time, where possible.
