SIS-PIK COMMUNITY SHOWCASE
February 2024

CHINESE NEW YEAR AND FAMILY DAY BAZAAR

On Saturday, 17 February 2024, the SIS-PIK campus was abuzz with joy and vibrant festivities during the Chinese New Year Celebration and Family Day Bazaar 2024. The day commenced with a spectacular showcase of talent as students from all levels mesmerised the audience with lively dances and heartwarming songs at the Multipurpose Hall (MPH). Proud parents beamed with pride as they witnessed their children’s enchanting performances. At the same time enjoying dumplings prepared by parents. Following the exhilarating performances, a mesmerising lion dance led the attendees on a symbolic journey from the MPH to the school canteen and backfield, marking the opening of the much-anticipated Family Day Bazaar. (The last time the Family Day Bazaar was held, it was in November 2018!) The bazaar featured an array of delectable delights and entertaining games, with food stalls and booths meticulously prepared by the dedicated students and teachers representing the four distinct school houses: Rinjani, Mandala, Kerinci, and Merapi. Further entertainment was provided with more student performances in the back field. To cap it off, a raffle draw of prizes was held.  The event wasn’t just a gathering for current students and parents; it also served as a reunion for many alumni who fondly revisited their alma mater, reconnecting with teachers and reliving cherished memories as SIS-PIK students. The Chinese New Year Celebration and Family Day Bazaar 2024 truly embodied the spirit of unity, celebration, and the strong sense of community that defines the school.
