PD DAY: FIRST AID TRAINING
At SIS-PIK we take the health and safety of our community very seriously. Whilst many of us have undertaken first aid training over the years, it is vital that we stay up-to-date, as recommendations and good practice change often. On the day before the first day of term, all our teachers came together to undertake a very thorough training delivered by the professionals at International SOS. Modules included CPR, the use of the AED machine in cases of cardiac arrest, how to respond if someone is drowning or choking, and the recovery position. The training was both theoretical and practical, and we all enjoyed immersing ourselves in improving our skills. Hopefully we never need to use what we have learnt, but we are there ready in case.
