MOUNTAIN DAY
Reaching the peak once again, SIS-PIK students delivered their all with remarkable spirit and friendly competitiveness for their houses during Mountain Day! This year around, the Student Council had introduced many new games, all offering their own unique quirks and game experience. However some things never change, the competitiveness among the 4 rivaling houses of Rinjani, Mandala, Kerinci and Merapi is still as fierce as ever.
This time of year, Mountain Day kicked off with an energising House Kahoot where students had to answer trivia questions about their teachers as a house. The house that earned the most points surely knew their teacher well. This was then followed by In & Out, where three representatives from each house formed a circle and had to follow commands to step in or out, clap their hands and even jump at certain times. Students were extremely sharp and focused as they remained the last standing members to help claim victory for their houses.
Other memorable games were Hamster Run and Hungry Hungry Hippos, both new and fast paced activities that required the teams to work together while also testing their efficiency, bringing out their competitive spirit in a new fun and interesting way. Soon after, students moved on to badminton matches where teams of two from each house faced off in doubles fighting against each other, as they both tried to score 21 points to secure the most house points. Later in the day, contrary to its usual silence in the library– an Esports tournament of Mobile Legends was being held where teams fought incredibly hard in a fierce virtual battle. Simultaneously, for the students who had opted for a less intense activity, they played Human Bingo. Whilst playing the game, students learned new playful things about each other while bonding in order to be the first to score a bingo.

As for the adrenaline lovers of SIS-PIK, we still had one sport left – Blind Volleyball, a unique twist on the classic game where the net was covered making it impossible to see the ball. Players had to rely on communication and teamwork, leading to some surprising and exciting moments. Meanwhile, other students gathered to play Gartic Phone, a drawing game that sparked lots of laughter as students tried to guess what their friends had drawn. Taking a well rested break, the students got to sit back and relax at each class where the class party took place. A heartwarming time of bonding over delicious foods and fun games. As the party fades out, colourful balloons can be seen spread out on the field, as students get ready for the water balloon fight! This last event unified all the houses as students ran around, dodging and throwing water balloons, laughing as they got soaked. Bringing it to a truly memorable close on Mountain Day, every student felt the importance and experience of what it is like to be a part of incredible teams as well as to strive for greater heights as part of that very same community.
