ESSEC Competition
ESSEC Business School organises the ESSEC Case Competition every year, where students take on the role of management consultants to solve a real-life business challenge over a two-week period as a group. This competition provides a unique opportunity for senior high school students to gain an introduction to the business school’s teaching methods.
In this global competition, we fielded our Grade 10 and Grade 12 Business students. Team 45, consisting of Zuo Zijie, Edeline Stephandi, Cheng Kexin, Natasya Tanoto, Jiang Jia Xin, and Miley Audrey Wijaya, qualified for the finals held in Singapore. Team 51, comprising Sheng Liyuan (Cynthia), Lulin Zhang, Calliesta Sutedjo, Yu Yuchen, Shi Yuchen (Vansen), and Queensya Andria overcame the intensely competitive field of Senior High School participants and attained certificates of achievement for demonstrating teamwork, critical thinking skills, and business acumen.

VANDA Science Olympiad 2024
The VANDA Science Olympiad was held in May 2024. It is designed to focus on the student’s ability to think critically and creatively to pick out hidden information to aid them in solving the question. It follows the Singapore School Science Syllabus with a focus on higher order thinking skills. This allows participants to do better compared to pure-Olympiad papers since they are familiar with most of the topics. Science Questions in the competition have a strong foundation in scientific knowledge and methodology which include the development of reasoning and analytical skills, decision and problem solving skills, flexible to respond to different context and possessing an open and inquiring mind that is willing to explore new territories and learn new things which are aligned to the desired 21st century competencies.
