SIS-PIK COMMUNITY SHOWCASE
June 2023

MOUNTAIN WEEK

Preschool and Primary

Mountain Week – something that our students look forward to at the end of every semester. This semester saw our Preschool turned into a playground for superheroes with aerobics, art and movies! Our Preschool students were decked out in superhero costumes as they celebrated the end of the semester together with their teachers.

Primary students also had a lot of fun with so many activities. The week began with a reflection of their efforts in the recent Semester Assessment followed by ‘SIS-PIK Got Talent’ and house competitions. At the same time, our students celebrated their successes and achievements in our Celebration of Learning ceremonies. It was indeed an awesome end to the academic year for everyone!

PRIMARY SIS-PIK Got Talent

The SIS-PIK Got Talent was an electrifying event that celebrated the unique talents and abilities of students. By providing a platform for self-expression and fostering a supportive community, the event empowered students to embrace their passions, build confidence, and pursue their dreams. High School

Mountain Week has once again brought a balance of reflection and reciprocity in High School. Each morning students reflected in lessons on their Semester performance and set goals for themselves to improve next year as part of their climb to Greater Heights. Each afternoon students supported each other in House competitions by being spectators or competitors in a range of sporting and non-sports activities. One particularly enjoyable event was ‘Art Afternoon’, where students worked collaboratively in groups to use teamwork skills to produce meaningful pieces of art in only 40 minutes. The final pieces were impressive. The judges gave the top award to House Merapi, with their creative artwork interpreting the role of the Merapi Rhino in times of Climate Change.
