THE WORLD SCHOLAR’S CUP 2023 JAKARTA ROUND

The recent World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) Jakarta Round was a great success, showcasing the intellectual prowess, teamwork, and dedication of our SIS-PIK Primary and High School students competing at SPK Penabur Kelapa Gading and Ciputra Artpreneur. The competition, held from May 6-8, brought together young scholars from schools around Jakarta, providing them with a unique platform to demonstrate their skills and engage in friendly academic rivalry.

The WSC Jakarta Round presented SIS-PIK students with a wide range of intellectually stimulating challenges. From the exhilarating debate sessions to the rigorous Scholar’s Bowl, participants showcased their critical thinking, research, and communication skills. They tackled thought-provoking topics, delving into global issues, literature, history, and science, all while expanding their knowledge and honing their academic acumen.

We are immensely proud of the achievements of our students at the WSC Jakarta Round. Sixty-eight SIS-PIK students participated, earning over 150 gold medals, over 160 silver medals, and two trophies. Their exceptional performance has not only showcased their talents through the attainment of several awards but has also earned them qualification for the highly anticipated WSC Global Round in Seoul, South Korea.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our participants for their outstanding performance. Their achievements are a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and passion for learning. As a school community, let us continue to support and encourage these young scholars as they now prepare to compete at the Global Round.
