SIS-PIK COMMUNITY SHOWCASE
March 2024

COMING UP

Whilst we will not have a Community Showcase in April, due to it being a short month in school, there are still lots of activities and events to look forward to before our next Community Showcase.

23rd April – on Shakespeare’s birthday, we celebrate World Book Day, where both our Primary and High School English Departments will be overseeing events designed to inspire our students’ love for literature and reading. Please take this opportunity to talk about your favourite books with your children.

13th May – Preschool & Primary School Mother’s Day Tea. Mothers and Grandmothers will be invited to school to celebrate this special day, after school. More details on how to join this ticketed event will be provided nearer the time.

18th May – on this Saturday morning we invite all our K2 children to come into school with their parents for a day of transition to Primary school. The children will meet their new teachers, learn about what life is like in Primary 1, and undertake fun activities. Parents will be taken through the school curriculum and be given workshops on how to support their children through this transition period. Previous years’ events have been very successful and well-received by parents.

20th May – Examinations start in school, with oral tests in Primary starting on this date, and written tests occurring in High School from 22nd May. Primary school written examinations begin on 27th May.

21st May – Grade 12 Graduation. This special evening event will celebrate the achievements of our Grade 12 students as they finish their examinations and head to universities across the globe. More details to come – Grade 12 parents, please save the date!
