STEAM FESTIVAL IN HIGH SCHOOL
Science and IT
Last week, our Science and IT presentation and exhibition was one of the standout features of the STEAM week for high school. The event showcased a diverse range of collaborative projects that featured exciting connections between Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Technology. The exhibition highlighted the creativity and hard work of our students with impressive projects.

Maths’ Day
Last Friday, March 14th, 2025, our high school students enthusiastically celebrated Pi Day as part of our STEAM Week festival!
The Grade 7 and 8 students showcased their memory skills in an exciting Pi Recitation Contest. A special congratulations goes to Aslan Franco Wongso from Grade 7E, who impressively recited 63 digits of Pi — an incredible achievement!
Grade 9 students put their knowledge to the test with a lively Maths Trivia and Quiz, while Grade 11 students battled it out in an Integration Bee, racing to solve complex integrals. Watching them tackle these challenging problems with confidence and precision was truly inspiring — it felt like witnessing future mathematicians at MIT in action!
To cap off the day, all students participated in a Maths Olympiad Contest, sharpening their problem-solving skills and celebrating the joy of mathematics together.
It was a day filled with passion, perseverance, and pride — a true testament to our students’ love for learning and mathematical excellence!

Performing Arts
This year’s SIS-PIK STEAM festival was an incredible week for creativity and innovation, which displayed the amazing talents of our students! The Grade 7s presented their original compositions which were made using Beepbox, and combined them with games that they had coded on Scratch or Flowlab. This exciting mix of music highlighted the beautiful intersection of art and technology. Meanwhile, creative arts and design students influenced everyone with their amazing artwork and fashion designs, all parts of their creative projects. This exhibition is a testament to our students’ innovation, creativity, and dedication to the arts.
