SIS-PIK COMMUNITY SHOWCASE
May 2024

COMING UP

The very last week of term is always a busy one at SIS-PIK! Monday and Tuesday are vital ‘Reflection Days’, where students go through their Semester Assessment examination papers and understand how they need to improve. These days are just as important (if not more so) that the examinations themselves, as without reflection, students cannot enhance their success. On Wednesday we get the opportunity to recognise all the wonderful work over the year with our ‘Celebration of Learning’. Students are acknowledged not only for high grades, but their effort, perseverance, and display of independence. Also on this day is the infamous ‘Mountain Day’ where a range of house competitions pit the Houses of Merapi, Rinjani, Kerinci and Mandala against each other to see who will triumph!

The last day of the school year is Thursday 6th June. On this day, we hold our final Parent Teacher Conference (PTC) between 7.30am and 12pm and we look forward to seeing you all. Even more exciting is our final school musical of the year – our Lower Primary show, ‘Swamped’. All students in Grades 1 to 3 perform in this production which starts at 12.45pm (running time 30 minutes). The day ends with an event for K2 and G6 families – the ‘Moving Up’ Ceremonies. Here we celebrate the children’s growth and success, and induct them into our Primary and High Schools.

The start of the new academic year comes on 29th July, where we welcome all students in Kindergarten, Primary school, Grades 7, 9, 11 and all other students new to High School. Tuesday 30th July is a full day of school for all children.
