DR DAN’S DIARY

Dear SIS-PIK Families,

Once again there are so many highlights for me for the previous month at school. Children’s Day was a lovely chance for us to celebrate our wonderful Preschool and Primary students. The magician was astounding and it was lovely to see such happy, joyful smiles! 

Higher up the school we had the annual Leadership Camp – our next generation of student leaders being put through their paces with a weekend sleepover camp by our current leaders in STUCO. I know they learnt a lot about being role models – but they also had heaps of fun!

On an academic note, we’ve received notification of some fantastic examination results. The 2023 batch of iPSLE showed even better results than last year, with a great number of awards which you can read about more in this edition. We have also just heard that 3 of our Grade 11 students have been given special awards from Cambridge for achieving the following: 

Bernice Sonya Robida – Top in Indonesia for Computer Science IGCSE and Top in the World for First Language English
Jiayi Lu – Top in Indonesia for Chinese as a Second Language IGCSE
Lin Cai Yao – Top in the World for Foreign Language Mandarin. 

These are outstanding achievements and we are very proud of our world-beating students!

So much has happened since the last edition, but you can read about all the activities here. 

There will be no Community Showcase in December, however I will write to you all with holiday greetings closer to the time.
