ENGAGE INDONESIA BY KOGNITY

On 14th November, SIS-PIK proudly hosted the inaugural Engage Indonesia conference, a landmark event for educators across the nation. Organised by Kognity, the leading IB and IGCSE online learning platform, the conference brought together around 100 teachers from schools all over Indonesia to share insights and elevate educational practices.

As recognised leaders in professional development, we at SIS-PIK were proud to be chosen to host this prestigious event. Our own educators were invited to lead sessions, providing expert training to IGCSE and IB teachers from various institutions.

The conference began with an impactful plenary session on Managing Cognitive Load, led by our very own Mr Sago and Mr Arvin. Their insights set the tone for an afternoon filled with innovative ideas and actionable strategies.

Other standout sessions led by SIS-PIK faculty included:

• From Gimmick to Groundbreaking by Mr Gareth, exploring effective technology integration in the curriculum.
• A Science team workshop featuring Mr Bernard, Mr Bren, and Ms Nurul, focusing on bridging the gap between IGCSE and IBDP.
• A session on Strategic Project Planning by Dr Dan, offering leadership training for principals and middle leaders.
• Metacognition in the Classroom, an engaging session led by Mr Dwi and Mr Yoga.

This event reaffirmed SIS-PIK’s commitment to advancing education, not only for our students but also as a resource and leader for educators nationwide. We are proud to have partnered with Kognity to inspire and empower the teaching community in Indonesia.
