Celebrating Single Delegate Achievements in Model United Nations Conferences
Our students at SIS-PIK continue to excel in Model United Nations (MUN) conferences, demonstrating their dedication and passion for understanding global issues. Participating as individual delegates, they have earned numerous recognitions and awards, reflecting their commitment to researching, drafting position papers, crafting compelling debate speeches, and articulating their country’s stance in various councils and committees.

Gwyneth So (Class 9A)
One of our most accomplished MUN delegates, Gwyneth So from Class 9A, has consistently demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication. She has participated in multiple conferences, earning accolades for her contributions. Recently, Gwyneth received a Verbal Commendation as a delegate of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), an advanced committee, at the inaugural NJIS MUN (North Jakarta Intercultural School) held on 28–29 September 2024. She also achieved another Verbal Commendation in the Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural Committee (SOCHUM), an intermediate-level committee, at HighScope MUN on 30–31 October 2024, an event that brought together 255 students from 32 schools. Additionally, Gwyneth earned the prestigious Most Outstanding Delegate award as a representative in the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) at Laurensia MUN, which revolved around the theme “Resolving the Existing, Rewriting the Forthcoming.” Just last weekend, Gwyneth was awarded “Best Delegate” in the highly competitive Indonesia Model Congress (council USA House of Foreign Affairs) at Universitas Indonesia 29 & 30 November 2024.

Charlito Rizki Gunawan (Class 8C)
Charlito Rizki Gunawan, an experienced delegate from Class 8C, has shown remarkable consistency and excellence in MUN conferences. As a proactive participant, Charlito has engaged in various debates and proposed innovative solutions to pressing global challenges. He represented Pakistan in the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) at SPARK MUN, hosted by Sampoerna University on 27–28 July 2024, where he received an Honourable Mention. At Jakarta International MUN (23–25 August 2024), Charlito represented Malaysia in the UNSC, earning a Verbal Commendation. His outstanding performance continued at the Model ASEAN Meeting hosted by Universitas Pertamina from 5–7 September 2024, where he was awarded Best Delegate as Thailand’s representative in the ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC). Most recently, Charlito secured the Most Outstanding Delegate title as China’s representative in the UNSC at NJIS MUN (28–29 September 2024).

Enrica Tanuwidjaja (Class 9A)
Enrica Tanuwidjaja, another dedicated delegate from Class 9A, has demonstrated remarkable potential in her MUN journey. Her openness to honing her research and debate skills reflects her commitment to continuous improvement. Enrica’s ability to analyse and express her arguments with diplomacy has been commendable. At NIZAMIA MUN, held on 26 October 2024, she was honoured with the Most Outstanding Delegate award by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) committee.

These achievements highlight the dedication, perseverance, and intellect of our SIS-PIK students in the challenging and rewarding world of Model United Nations. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and look forward to witnessing their continued success in future conferences.
