GRADE 11&12 LEARNING JOURNEY
From Tuesday, October 17th until Sunday, October 22nd, Grade 11 and 12 students went on a Learning Journey trip to Labuan Bajo, where they completed their CAS project, Collaborative Sciences Group 4 project, and BTEC EE assessment. With an approximate preparation time of one month, the CAS project reached its peak as the High School students visited SDK Pusut on the second day.
Not only did the local elementary students of SDK Pusut learn various subjects, ranging from Arts to Mathematics, but they also received light snacks and beverages from our High School students. Furthermore, the Grade 11 and 12 students raised enough funds to donate two bookshelves for their school library.
While the purpose of the trip was to gain experience and assist others, the students had fun exploring different neighbouring islands: Padar Island, Komodo Island, Taka Makassar, and Pink Beach.
During the island hopping, the students collected extensive data that helped contribute to their Collaborative Sciences Group 4 project, serving as the variables for their different experiments.
Additionally, the students undertook beach cleaning in Pantai Pede as their service. They also visited Batu Cermin Cave and Puncak Waringin as the best spots to enjoy Labuan Bajo scenery.
The students got the opportunity to walk around the city centre and analyse the contrasting markets of Labuan Bajo compared to Jakarta. They also visited a souvenir shop where they were able to buy keepsakes and snacks as well as complete their BTEC EE assessment.
