GRADE 7 LEARNING JOURNEY

The theme for our Learning Journey this academic year was “Indonesia STEAM Exploration for Global Achievements”, focusing on learning firsthand about the development of Science, Technology, the Arts (Culture), Engineering and Mathematics in Indonesia from pre-independence years to the present day. It was a great opportunity for students and teachers to explore the richness of Indonesian culture and natural resources and what it can offer to the world. 

During the four days and three nights learning programme, students had the opportunity to not only visit educational places such as temples, museums and factories, but also visited fun locations such as zoos and theme parks. Students learnt and had fun with their friends, whilst they built their resilience and perseverance. 

This year, Grade 7 went to Cikole, Bandung. For many of them, it was their first of many things. First time to ride a train, first time to be away from home, the first time to play the angklung and much more. For lots of them their highlight is the bus karaoke with their friends and teachers. Most importantly, they were exposed to Indonesian culture and looking forward to the next learning Journey experience.

Our hope with the Learning Journey programme is for our students to be aware of the potential within Indonesia and within themselves to have the determination to contribute in global achievements.
