HALLOWE’EN IN PRESCHOOL AND PRIMARY

In our Preschool, Halloween is a magical day filled with laughter and creativity. The excitement starts as the students arrive dressed as superheroes, animals, and fairytale characters, their faces beaming with anticipation. We kicked off the day with a delightful costume parade, where tiny pirates marched alongside pint-sized princesses, showcasing their imaginative outfits.

The school buzzed with joy as they ‘trick or treat’ from class to class, their tiny hands grasping candies, eyes wide with amazement. It was heartwarming to see friendships strengthen, and confidence bloom as they proudly displayed their costumes. Halloween at our Preschool isn’t just about treats; it’s about fostering friendships, sparking imagination, and creating cherished memories.

The Primary School chose to celebrate Halloween a little differently this year, with a theme following “Dia de los Muertos” which focuses on celebrating the lives of those who have come before us. The Mini Auditorium was a buzz of activity and festive dancing as each grade got to spend time participating in fun activities. Our amazing prefects were in charge of each activity station and did a fantastic job encouraging the students to test their creativity, coordination, and courage. Those who were brave enough dug their hands into the unknown sensory buckets and guessed the goo for some rewards. Bowling skills were tested using pumpkins and spooky tissue rolls. Face painting was the most popular activity by far, and there was much excitement over choosing designs and seeing them come to life. Creeping cutting and neon sugar skull painting were also popular choices for many. Marigold making was the last station, which gave the students an opportunity to be thoughtful about how we celebrate days such as these. At the end of it all, the students danced their way around the festivities and ended their Halloween celebration with some good old fashion trick or treating.
