INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
On 15 August 2026, the entire SIS-PIK community came together to commemorate the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia through a meaningful and vibrant celebration. This year’s celebration carried the theme “Indonesia Berdaulat, Adil, dan Makmur,” reflecting the values of unity, justice, national pride and a shared commitment to building a better future.
The celebration began with a solemn Independence Day ceremony, followed by a variety of fun and engaging activities, including traditional games and competitions, a food bazaar, a cultural parade, a regional song competition and a series of cultural performances. These activities provided students with opportunities to celebrate Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage while appreciating the diversity that makes the nation unique.
Beyond the festivities, the celebration also encouraged students to reflect on the meaning of independence and to honour the heroes whose courage, sacrifice and determination paved the way for Indonesia’s freedom.
With enthusiastic participation from students, teachers and staff, the event was a joyful and memorable celebration of 81 years of Indonesian independence, unity, culture and diversity. It was a wonderful reminder that, despite our differences, we can come together with one spirit and a shared love for Indonesia.
