Building Strong Partnerships from the Start

We were delighted to welcome our Preschool and Primary parents to SIS-PIK for our first Parent Information Events of the new academic year.

The sessions were an opportunity to look beyond the timetable and share how and why children learn at SIS-PIK. Parents explored our curriculum, our commitment to developing confident multilingual learners, and the importance of a strong partnership between home and school. In Primary, we shared how the Singapore curriculum develops not only strong academic foundations, but communication, critical thinking and a love of learning.

Our Preschool families also explored the importance of learning through play, discovering how simple everyday experiences can develop gross and fine motor skills and support school readiness. The big takeaway? Play is learning, everyday moments matter, and small activities can make a big difference.

Most importantly, the events gave us a chance to connect. When school and home work together, our children are the ones who benefit. We look forward to continuing the conversation through parent workshops, meetings and opportunities to join us in school throughout the year.

High School

It was wonderful to meet so many of our Grade 7 and Grade 10D parents at our recent Welcome Event!

The session provided an opportunity to introduce parents to the exciting learning journey ahead and to explore our High School curriculum and the range of individualised pathways available to our students. We shared how our programmes are designed to recognise that every student is unique, providing the right combination of challenge, opportunity and support to help each young person progress towards their own goals and future aspirations.

We are looking forward to welcoming parents from our other year groups to similar sessions very soon.

Parents should also look out for email invitations to our upcoming High School Community Conversations beginning on Tuesday 1st September. These informal sessions will provide further opportunities to meet different members of the High School team, learn more about our systems and programmes, ask questions, and strengthen the partnership between school and home.
