SIS-PIK has successfully hosted its first-ever hackathon, SIS-PIK HACKS. The hackathon was conducted over the course of three consecutive days from August 8th to August 10th. The objective of the hackathon was to motivate students, with the inclusion of external students towards the idea of transforming creative concepts into practical sustainable solutions. Participants are formed into groups to address real-world environmental challenges ranging from local campus management to global climate tracking.

On Saturday, 8 August, students from various schools arrived at SIS-PIK at 8:00 a.m. for registration. Over the course of the five-hour programme, students took part in a range of activities, including a Design Thinking Workshop led by Generation Girl. Throughout the workshop, students were encouraged to explore and develop their ideas through a variety of collaborative activities, including writing their ideas on sticky notes and finding partners with similar interests and concepts.

On Monday, 10 August, students presented their final prototypes, mobile applications and hardware solutions. Each team presented their project in the Mini Auditorium according to a scheduled presentation timetable. At the conclusion of the presentations, all participants came together for the announcement of the winners and the presentation of three awards, with prizes ranging from IDR 1 million to IDR 2 million.

The winners were selected by a panel of judges comprising Maxwell Wijaya, Ms Roshpinna and Wafi Aulia Tsabitah. The event provided students with a valuable opportunity to demonstrate their creativity, collaboration and problem-solving skills while turning their ideas into practical solutions.
